Fishing
Ear Falls boasts the best the fishing that Northern Ontario has to offer. The town is positioned on the shores of the English River, with the River itself being joined by three giant waterways: the Chukuni, Cedar and Wenesaga Rivers. With numerous fishing and hunting camps located throughout the area, both novice and seasoned fishermen alike will find exactly what they are looking for in the ultimate fishing experience. Parks and Trails
Take advantage of the local trials all year round. In the summer months, mountain biking, ATVs and hiking are great ways to see the wildlife and experience the outdoors. Public Boat Launches:
The town has public boat launches for fishing boats and canoes:
- Dutchie’s Landing, situated just off Chestnut Street provides access to the English River
- Wenesaga Landing, located 12 km down South Bay Road ad provides access to Wenesaga Lake
- Goldpines Landing, located at the the end of Hwy 657 provides access to Lac Seul
- Pakwash Provincial Park Landing, located 19 km north of Ear Falls provides access to Pakwash Lake
