Recreational Facilities:
Recreation Centre
Ear Falls maintains a number of recreational facilities for summer, winter and year round use, including the Recreation Centre, a focal point for recreation within the community. The Recreation Centre houses an arena second floor viewing area; Youth Drop in Centre and the Kin Fit Gym/Fitness Centre, all of which can be utilized year round. (top of page).
Kin Fit Gym
A fully equipped modern facility with free weights and various cardio and weight equipment. Circuit training classes are offered. The gym is accessible 24 hours a day with a unique card lock system. Memberships and access cards can be purchased at the town office. Memberships (top of page).
Ear Falls Golf and Country Club
Open daily from May to October. Click here for rates (new window). Try out this challenging 9 Hole Course located just minutes from downtown. Enjoy a meal inside or out on the back deck, in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Memberships are available and daily walk-ons welcome. Featuring:
- Putting green
- Club and cart rentals
- Pro shop

Sportsplex Area
On the site there are two baseball diamonds, horseshoe pits, children’s playground, a covered picnic area, and washroom facilities. Towering trees encompass the entire park area, making the experience of playing ball that much more enjoyable. (top of page).
Waterfront Park
A place to relax on a sunny summer day! The water front part boasts a sandy beach area, horseshoe pits, visitor information center, washroom and shower facilities, and a covered picnic area all on the waters of famous Lac Seul. (top of page).
Boat Launches and Landing Areas
The following public boat launches are maintained by the Township of Ear Falls:
- Gold Pines access to Lac Seul
- Dutchie’s Landing access the English river
- Wenesaga Lake

Cross Country Skiing
Located right within town limits. Approximately 12 km of trails woven through stands of pine and spruce, passing by swamps and winding along the shoreline of the English River. (top of page).
Ear Falls Recreation Committee
The recreation committee meets regularly, each month to discuss recreational related issues within the community. These meeting are held within the Municipal Office and are open to the public. The committee is always busy hosting a number of fun, recreational family oriented events and activities throughout this year. To find out more about the committee, contact the Recreation Department office. The following events are planned and hosted jointly by the recreation committee and the recreation department:
- Winterfest, annual winter festival held in march to celebrate our longest season, winter
- Eagle Days – an annual summer event held in July to celebrate are shorter but warm and beautiful summer.
